Kristie spotted a swallow perusing Mono City's skies this afternoon. On inspection it was to be a Barn Swallow. Gaines' earliest date for the Mono Basin is March 6. It looked interested in roosting in the eaves of a nearby house. If it stays, it would be sleeping beneath a roof coated with 10 inches of snow
