Comments

Heidi noticed this bird in her pine tree, and its obvious difference from the more common RBSA. Observed for 45 seconds in Lombardy Poplar at 10 meters. A male, full red throat, strong white behind eye and across cheek. Red throat bordered by black - no signs of RBSA hybridization. Red nape differentiates it from YBSA. Gaines does not report March records for the Mono Basin.
