...and slowly the clear definitions of "winter bird community" and "spring bird community" become blurred. It's so nice to have the swallows back. Pairs of Violet-greens are swirling and diving and squeaking with spring time delight. Mountain Bluebirds, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Hairy Woodpecker, American Robin, American Kestrel, Common Raven, Blue Grouse, Red-shafted Flicker, Mountain Chickadee, Oregon Junco, Steller's Jay, Spotted Towhee, Clark's Nutcracker - all in a morning at Dechambeau Creek. Isn't change great?!?
