I saw this adult fly across 158 near the Boulder Lodge with a nice trout in its talons. Last year a pair of Bald Eagles constructed a nest in the area, but never followed through with egg laying. Are they back at it? Do they have eggs this year? There is no record of nesting Bald Eagles in the Mono Basin, or more accurately, no record indicated in David Gaines' book.
