This morning I conducted a PRBO point count transect at Mill Creek, starting at the lake and heading up creek to Mono City. About 1/4 mile up from the lake, I observed a Black-throated Blue Warbler for about 15 minutes. The bird was a dark brown female calling frequently with lots of great looks at the eyeline and lower broken eyering, another distinct field mark was the white rectices, tail spots. The call note... an upslurred zeezeeezeeettt. Also of interest was a Black and White Warbler that was perch gleening on small willows, signing his little heart out!
