Greg and I flusehd a Burrowing Owl out from under a greasewood this morning on Paoha Island while walking on the alkali flats adjacent to the Paoha Islets. This is the third year in a row a Burrowing Owl has been seen on Paoha in September. Greg, myself, and several others spent the previous night on Paoha, listening to a nearby Great Horned Owl and a far off pack of coyotes that could be heard yodeling from shore.
