From the back porch of the El Mono Motel I saw at first what I thought was a Townsend's Solitaire doing a little aerial acrobatics, but when it landed on a wire with its tail cocked up I realized my mistake. Ran over to it and got some better looks as the Mockingbird hopped about in the neighborhood apple trees, making crazy mockingbird vocalizations. First time I've seen one in town.
