Today is the day the Mono Lake Committee was established in 1978. Today is also the day I woke up to see a pair of Kestrels perched on the big blue house's power pole. Haven't really seen them much this fall/winter. Say's Phoebes, Bewick's Wren, Spotted Towhees, Cassin's Finches and Juniper Titmice are all singing in the spring!
