one more thing on the Magnolia.... it was a young adult (second year) male based on the dusky blackisk auriculars, overall feather characteristics and the lacking of a distinctive breast band and a broad white tail spot (that was really really cool!). It seems like Rush Creek is the center of the Mono Basin vagrant universe. I think this might be yet another spring/summer record for the Basin?
