On my way to town today I stopped to check out the west shore and suprisingly found not a single California Gull for as far as I could see. I have been stopping every few days and there were a ton on Wednesday (8/15). So they are either hiding out on the southeast shore or have completely left the Basin. Most likely, they felt this storm a coming and high tailed it out of here and are probably hanging out in the Central Valley's ag fields getting fat on strange grubs.
