Comments

On holiday from the UK we stopped at Mono Lake, South Tufa Area. We saw a bird on the shore for some time but failed completely to identify it in spite of its striking appearance. The bird was rather plump and brown (like a Dipper) but had a distinct yellow/orange breast. It had a pointed beak and a very short tail. It was the approx size of a Thrush, but seemed much fatter. Can you help?
