Leah and I have been noticing the Violet-green Swallows too. There was a small group running around in town on Tuesday, and I saw a few today seemingly hawking insects near the eves of houses. I wonder where they've been hanging out, they could really be from anywhere. I'd like to think they are really tough VGSWs from Alaska and are finally getting kicked south because of the snow. Also, there have been loads of Juncos coming out of the mountains.
