The Mono Basin Christmas Bird Count will be this Sunday and we can start looking and counting species only three days before the count and three days after the count (This Thursday 16 Dec. - til Wednesday 22 Dec). Our count circle includes Conway Summit to South Tufa, the entire west shore of the lake, including Co. Park and all four deltas to the lake. Species like Bald Eagle, Pinyon Jay, Greater Sage Grouse are often here but missed during our count day. If anyone sees anything unusual in the next week please let me know by postings your sightings here or send me an email(rgates at prbo.org). Thanks.
