Mono Lake County Park was quiet today. I post-holed to the boardwalk to find: two House Sparrows chattering in a willow. once they convinced themselves there were no houses around, they flew to the mono inn. there was a Say's Phoebe eating air, two Killdeer staring at the sky, a Bewick's Wren singing its heart out, 24 Canada Geese swimming back and forth, 8 Ruddy Ducks swimming back and forth, and 5 American Magpies flying back and forth. I didn't see any Ospreys. It's awesome to be back.
