A day of fives but only one bird stands out among the Cassin's Finches, Pine Siskins, Goldfinches, and House Sparrows: a lone first spring, male Indigo Bunting. Deep blue &
turquoise with brown mottling, no wing bars. It settled on the porch eating thistle with the siskins and goldfinches--about their size.
Spotted in Lee Vining in the backyard and front porch of the El Mono.
