We stop to get gas at the Shell station in Mammoth on my way out of town (the new big one) and the lights are of course very bright. Hundreds of Pandora Moths dazed and confused are bouncing off these lights, some landing on the pavement below. Many spiraling, seemingly stunned after making contact with the lights. They are getting run over, stepped on, and generally mushed by
the traffic. First "War of the Worlds" and now this.
Violent night,
all is calm,
all is bright.
