After consistently having small flocks of Phalaropes on the Lee Vining Delta (~200-300 for the past two weeks) I was driving out on Test Station road this morning and saw a flock of at least 4 or 5,000 dancing over Lee Vining Tufa. They were expanding into a huge cloud then dropping to form a flat blanket over the lake, I'll never get tired of watching them move. No sign of anything chasing them though. Wasn't close enough to ID but on the Delta there were just Wilson's. It only gets more spectaculare from here!!!
