flying around america's most scenic landfill - the pumice valley dump on Saturday 4/1. then another on sunday sunning on the shed. like other members of the true brushfoot family, these folks over winter as adults and then emerge in early spring to mate. who's next to show up? bullock's in the yard today along with 4 evening grosbeaks, chipping sparrows, siskins, american goldfinches, and a flock of 17 turkey vultures coasting over town. Townsend's solitares, black pheobe and a secret wren on the creek trail.
