George Appel and I wandered the Geyer's Willow labyrinth in the meadow below the Tioga Road this morning. The meadow probably has a name, but I do not know what it is. We saw a lot of birds, the vast majority of which were Audubon's Warblers. We couldn't find any Yellow Warblers, Warbling Vireos, nor Empids - they seem to have flown away for the season. A Lark Sparrow was unexpected, and we found my first Ruby-crowned Kinglet of the fall. And I will send Bartshe a picture of this small frog that George found - does anyone know what species it is?
