Mono Lake has probably submerged close to an hectare of the Lee Vining Creek delta since I held a plot there in 2002. It is awesome. The rest is submerged by Audubon's Warblers. I saw my first Sooty Fox Sparrow of the fall, which means I get to type P.i. unalaschcensis. And there were at least a half-dozen Vaux's Swifts plying the delta, outnumbering Violet-Green and Barn Swallows. There were more Yellow Warblers than I expected, and I also saw a few OCWA and a MGWA. I saw my first Gambel's White-crowned Sparrows of the fall as well.
