Hike up to Kuna Lake on 10/8 and we flushed a White-tailed Jackrabbit at approximately 10,000' in dense lodgepole forest, along with a foraging Coyote along the outflow stream at appro. 10,600'. Flock of 20+ Western Meadowlarks at 10,800' in the large meadow margin just above the lake--flock driven into flight by a Praire Falcon. Also, Spotted Towhee in Whitebark Pine above the lake at 10,800'. Robust crop of whitebark pine nuts had a lot of other birds out in the area.
