I counted at least sixty AMERICAN AVOCETS yesterday evening at the marsh east of Black Point. It was also a mind-blowing sunset beautiful out there. At County Ponds there was a male BLUE-WINGED TEAL, and five WHITE-FACED IBIS came down to roost in the rushes at the westernmost pond.
