A bear was seen last week in the willows near the County Park boardwalk. Presumably the same bear had been seen near the Mono Inn in a tree. This morning we had a couple come into our Information Center that said they hit a bear hard at 50 mph with their car just north of the Shrimp Plant. The bear was crossing the highway from the lake side and ran uphill. Dept. of Fish and Game was notified. Also of interest... 8 bears have been hit by cars in Yosemite this year. Please slow down and watch for wildlife!
