 South Tufa Walk: Walk on the south shore of Mono Lake lasts about an hour. Federal fee area with no additional charge for the tour. 5 miles south of Lee Vining, turn on Hwy 120 East toward Benton. After 5 miles turn left at the South Tufa sign and follow the signs to South Tufa.
Additional Early Sept. Walks Note: Summer bird walks continue until September 7th. Three South Tufa Tours (10am, 1pm, 6pm) occur on September 1st. See summer activities page for details.
