MELASI is a group in East LA that, since 1984, has been fighting to maintain the health of the local community. From fighting to keep a state prison and a cyanide treatment plant out of the community to offering young people the opportunity to experience the wonder of Mono Lake, MELASI continues to keep the local community united, strong and proud.
