DMC-CBO (mostly Asian American Drug Abuse Program--AADAP) water
conservation float at the Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena the Sunday before
Thanksgiving, 1998. This float was so successful, and hilarious, that they were
asked to be in a Christmas Parade in Wilmington on  Sunday Dec. 13.

Queen Commoda ModaThe connection between Mono Lake and Los Angeles necessitates intelligent water use in southern California.  The Ultra-Low Flush Toilet Distribution Program in Los Angeles allowed Los Angeles residents an opportunity to receive free low-flush toilets which help them conserve water and money while they help protect Mono Lake by limiting their water consumption.

This program was discontinued after fully saturating the single-family residential market--an incredible success! Now water conservation is part of the city's infrastructure!
