We entered our fabulous website into the Adobe-TechSoup Show Your Impact design contest a few days ago. The contest organizers wish to award groups that demonstrate outstanding or innovative use of Adobe products to increase impact and further the missions of their organizations, and we felt that www.monolake.org fit the bill perfectly. Winners are chosen on the basis of community votes, so please take a moment to vote for the Mono Lake Committee website!

See the rules (you must vote for at least three contestants) and then register (they send you an email with a password) and then vote for the “Mono Lake Committee Website” entry and at least two others. Then view your ballot, cast it, and submit it! Voting closes April 30th at 5pm. The winners will be announced on May 27th.

Adobe Systems will award four $1,000 grants, plus our choice of one of three Adobe Creative Suite Premium software packages—a prize that’s nothing to sneeze at! We use Adobe programs every day at the Committee, to produce everything from flyers and brochures to our quarterly Newsletter and our Annual Report, as well as the newly designed website. Purchasing a new creative suite license would set us back almost $2,000, which feels like a lot of money, especially this year.

So please take a few minutes to vote for the Mono Lake Committee Website, and watch for more beautiful and effective publications to come!
