Date of sighting: 6/3/09

Sounds like Costa’s Hummingbirds are around.  This morning at 7 AM a male was doing his pendulum display for a female perched in a bitterbrush, just below the National Forest Visitor’s Center on the Lee Vining Creek trail (above that little wooden bridge).
