The Mono Lake Committee Information Center & Bookstore is located in the town of Lee Vining at the corner of Highway 395 and Third Street. This is also the headquarters and main offices of the Mono Lake Committee.
Our Information Center & Bookstore offers a variety of visitor services to enhance your Mono Lake experience. Stop in to get recommendations for places to hike, paddle, bird watch, and more. Chat with our knowledgeable staff about Mono Lake and the surrounding area, get directions, learn about the activities taking place during your visit, and watch our 30-minute film, The Mono Lake Story. Wifi, fax and copy services, a restroom, drinking fountain, water bottle filling station, and a picnic area are also available.
We also have a comprehensive and curated book selection from regional field guides to fiction and children’s books. Local arts and crafts, Mono Lake apparel, handmade jewelry, souvenirs, and eco-friendly gifts also fill the shelves. Be sure to check out our small gallery where you can view and purchase the work of our featured artist. Purchases made at the Information Center & Bookstore directly support the Mono Lake Committee’s mission and further our protection, restoration, education, and scientific research programs for Mono Lake.
