Holiday shopping feature: Candles

November 4th, 2012 by Angie, Project Specialist

Among the new items available online are two different kinds of candles—one to add light and color to your room, the other to fill the room with subtle, beautiful fragrance. Vance Family candles are a favorite this time of year among Mono Lake Committee staff and supporters. The Hiking Trail scent can even be found burning in the bookstore on particularly chilly, gloomy days. If you have ever hiked in the forest after the rain, with aromas of juniper and cedar in your nose and dew on your boots, then this scent is sure to strike a chord. Completely eco-friendly—they’re even compostable—these GMO-free soy candles come in two other fragrances: Spice of Life, a spicy holiday scent sure to remind you of cider and tree decorating; and Peace, a smooth, clean scent with hints of lavender and coconut.

The Mini Barrick candles offer a different kind of candle experience. These unscented, teardrop-shaped candles come in three lovely colors: lime green, sea blue, and deep purple. Every candle is hand-dipped with a beautiful crackled wax texture. At five inches tall, these candles are perfect for a bookshelf or end table.

For more information on these and other new products, or to place an order, visit the Committee’s online store. Be sure to check back often as we continue to add new items from our fall catalog….
