Holiday shopping: Stocking stuffers

One of my most favorite holiday memories is tiptoeing down the stairs in my footy pajamas on Christmas morning to peek into my stocking before it was technically time. Sometimes I could catch a glimpse of what was in there….

The Mono Lake, California patch is a perfect stocking stuffer—small, versatile, inexpensive, and it appeals to everyone. With a bright, sunrise-orange sky and a gull flying over tufa towers, this embroidered oval patch evokes dawn at Mono Lake.

I personally can’t live without several tubes of lip balm surrounding me at all times, so I would be thrilled to find one of Badger’s cocoa butter lip balms in my stocking this year! (Hint hint, family….) Badger’s cocoa butter lip balms are some of the best available—100% natural, 87% organic, smooth and buttery, and long-lasting. Plus, you can choose from three delicious scents: cocoa, pomegrante, or mint.

Another good stocking stuffer we’re carrying are reusable snack bags from Chico Bag. They can accommodate sandwiches or smaller snack items, are made of 78% recycled content, and are machine-washable. They come in a set of three—one green, one blue, and one plum—so you can hit three stockings with one purchase!

The Mono Lake Committee’s classic holiday ornaments make elegant stocking stuffers too. Both the aspen leaf ornaments and the brine shrimp ornaments come in silver or gold, and bring the magic of the Mono Basin right to your home. They’re each about three inches long … perfect for slipping into someone’s stocking.
