Giving Tuesday at Mono Lake

For Giving Tuesday, the Mono Lake Committee is giving thanks for YOU.

Giving Tuesday is the non-profit answer to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We figured you wouldn’t blame us for taking the opportunity to raise awareness, support, and maybe even a little bit of money to protect and restore Mono Lake.

So, we dug around for a photo of an irresistibly cute brine shrimp … or a fuzzy baby alkali fly … or a teeny tiny tufa. But, let’s face it, “adorable” isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Mono Lake.

It’s wild, it’s spectacular, it’s odd, it’s fascinating, it’s different, and it’s still here because of you. Thank you.

If you are so inspired, today you might consider: telling a friend about Mono Lake, buying a gift or gift membership in our online bookstore, giving us a shout-out on social media with #iheartMonoLake, or donating to the Mono Lake Committee.

We’re here every day of the year working to protect and restore Mono Lake, and we simply can’t do it without you. Thank you!
