Steps for Snow at Mono Lake

Local families came out in force on a foggy morning to show support for climate progress at the Paris Summit and a future snowy Sierra and rising Mono Lake.

Participants walked from Lee Vining down to the lake, heard speakers discuss climate issues, and learned what personal “steps” we can all take to use energy and water wisely.  Everyone took home a snowflake ornament made by local children with their personal action pledge recorded. Thank you Janet and Gina and the Steps for Snow team for raising awareness about these important issues in our community.
