Calling all Mono Lake lovers: Apply to work here in the summer!December 21st, 2018 by Jessica, Office Director
As the Office Director for the Mono Lake Committee, I spend my summer days scheduling canoe and South Tufa tours, Information Center & Bookstore shifts, special school group visits, Outdoor Education Center programs, invasive species removal events, stream and lake monitoring, and bird walks at County Park.
However, none of these things can actually happen without the dedicated seasonal staff that arrives in mid-May and helps with our increasingly-important public outreach on and around Mono Lake until fall.
Job descriptions for the Mono Lake Committee’s 2019 seasonal jobs are now posted, and hiring begins January 1, 2019. Positions are open until filled. While these jobs fit well with a summer break from college, this is also a great opportunity for anyone of any age to experience the inner-workings of a successful environmental non-profit, while enjoying a season in one of the most uniquely beautiful places in the West.
If you have any questions regarding the positions, please read the job description for the appropriate person’s contact information, or contact me by email or at (760) 647-6595 x120.
