This guided\, one-hour walk includes hands-on activities\, and an overview of the human and natural history of Mono Lake appropriate for all age levels. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReserve your spot\n\n\n\n \n\n     \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDetails\n\n\n\nPrice: Tours are free\, but there is a $3 per person entrance fee to the South Tufa Area. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional information: \n\n\n\n\nMeet at the kiosk at the South Tufa parking lot.\n\n\n\nTours are free\, but reservations are recommended to secure your spot.\n\n\n\nThere is a $3 per person entrance fee to the South Tufa Area.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDirections to South Tufa\n\n\n\nFrom Highway 395 turn onto Highway 120 East (located five miles south of Lee Vining and 25 miles north of Mammoth Lakes). Follow the signs for South Tufa. Drive five miles on Highway 120 East and turn left at the sign for South Tufa. Continue straight onto a one-mile-long gravel road and park in the South Tufa parking lot. \n\n\n\nWhat to bring\n\n\n\nSince there is little shade at South Tufa\, please bring sun protection (sun hat\, sunscreen\, sunglasses) and plenty of drinking water.
