DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, August 2\, stop in to the Mono Lake Committee gallery to meet artist Linda Ann Vorobik\, see her gallery show called Flora of the Sierra Nevada: Botanical Watercolors & Hand-Painted Silks\, and enjoy some wine and refreshments. \n\n\n\nThe gallery show consists of a combination of silk wall hangings of Linda’s favorite trees (Sierra juniper\, giant sequoia\, and aspen) and watercolors of some of her favorite plants (maidenhair\, paintbrush\, penstemon\, even the wolf lichen)\, along with a selection of silk scarves featuring larkspur\, lichens\, iris\, and paintbrush. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, June 21\, stop in to the Mono Lake Committee gallery to meet artists Stephanie Martin and Erika Perloff\, see their gallery show called Confluence: Etchings & Paintings of the Sierra\, and enjoy some wine and refreshments. In the show\, Stephanie’s etchings are interspersed amongst Erika’s pastel paintings just as birds are often found in the wild—here and there\, nestled amongst trees or shorelines or on mountainsides.
