Elevate your photography skills at Mono Lake with Dan ZimmermannSeptember 24th, 2019 by Caroline Bottega
In the age of cell phone cameras and instant photography, numerous photos can be taken in rapid succession without a second thought. However, upon later review, it may feel as though your photos still fall short of capturing the true magic of the image before your eyes.
On Wednesday, October 2 at 4:00pm, join photographer Dan Zimmermann for a short talk in the Mono Lake Committee gallery, followed by a walk along the shores of Mono Lake, for his presentation, A new way of seeing: Ideas to make your pictures the envy of everyone back home.
Zimmermann expressed an interest in photography from the early age of nine, first visiting the Sierra Nevada in 1985 and returning nearly every year since. His work has been heavily influenced by Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. Through his presentation he will impart new ways of looking at a landscape to elevate anyone’s photography skills!
The session will begin at 4:00pm in the Mono Lake Committee gallery with a short presentation, followed by a short walk down at Mono Lake, with time for questions and discussions. This is a free, first-come, first-served event; we hope to see you there!
