Thanks to the support of more than 430 members and supporters, we achieved our goal of raising $60,000 to be matched for Mono Lake!
Together, we raised more than $130,000 to protect Mono Lake, restore its tributary streams, educate the next generation of water users, and support scientific research in the Mono Basin. We’re especially grateful as we prepare for a State Water Board hearing, expected next year, which will consider changes to the current water diversion rules to finally allow Mono Lake to rise to its healthy level.
It was a wonderful Giving Tuesday for Mono Lake, starting with a livestream of the sunrise from the shoreline (which you can enjoy on our website any time), and finishing with an outpouring of support from people like you, near and far. We could not have done this without you, and we are so grateful for your support. Thank you.
