
The complete list of all the Mono Lake Committee’s 2018 Field Seminars is now available online here. Registration opens at 9:00am on Thursday, February 1.

This year’s slate of 40 Field Seminars includes one-day, half-day, and multi-day options, and spans many topics: astrophotography, botany, mining history, butterflies, oil painting, basketry, woodpeckers, geology, fire ecology, and more.
We have brought back several popular workshops: The Art of Wildflower Macrophotography, the South Shore Kayak day, hiking in search of Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep, and Arborglyphs & Aspen Natural History.

Mono Lake Committee Lead Naturalist Guide Nora Livingston will be leading 22 Field Seminars this year. She’s teaching seven different birding seminars, including the popular Birding Between the Breweries on two occasions, Birding the White Mountains, and a shorebird migration seminar. Nora’s natural history, wildflower, and fall color seminars are timed to make the most of the Mono Basin’s changing seasons. Other popular expert instructors include Nancy Hadlock, Greg Stock, Ann Howald, John Wehausen, Penny Otwell, Richard Potashin, Lucy Parker, and many more of your favorite folks.
