Mono Lake virtual tours available to schedule

Spring is arriving in the Mono Basin, yet school groups who usually visit to learn about Mono Lake continue to learn from home. Last year at this time, the Mono Lake Committee’s education team quickly pivoted to offering virtual tours and continue to do so this spring. Virtual tours have enabled outreach to students from near and far who wish to learn about Mono Lake’s dynamic ecosystem from their classrooms and homes.

Virtual tours of Mono Lake are available to schedule!

Virtual tours pair the beautiful views of the Mono Basin with information about Mono Lake for students of any age. Tours are supplemented with experiments, visuals, and the sounds of Mono Lake—we do our best to make the virtual experience as interactive as possible. Questions are encouraged and personalized tour requests are welcome. We offer tours in Spanish and English.

If you or anyone you know would like to schedule a virtual tour or get more information about curriculum, please contact me, Education Director Rose Nelson.
