About: Geoff's goals for the Committee are: assuring Mono Lake's continuing protection, restoring Mono Lake's tributary streams, developing a permanent education program, and assuring that the strong tradition of scientific research at Mono Lake continues. A new survey from our friends at the Sierra Nevada Alliance shows the ongoing state budget wrangling is stymieing important work at more than half the conservation groups in the Sierra. Staff have been laid off at a quarter of the groups surveyed.
