September 6 @ 4:30 pm 6:30 pm

On Friday, September 6, stop in to the Mono Lake Committee gallery to meet artist Millie Whipplesmith Plank, see her gallery show, and enjoy some wine and refreshments. This show is an exploration of the natural world through the detailed and thoughtful art of woodcutting, exploring the fragility and wonder of species interdependencies. Millie has created a piece called Phalarope Flight specifically to capture the tufa towers and water of Mono Lake, as well as the bird life the lake supports; she will donate 10% of the sale of each unframed print of Phalarope Flight to the Mono Lake Committee.

“Phalarope Flight” by Millie Whipplesmith Plank.
