Book event with Erin Ryan at the Mono Lake Committee

Join us next Friday, October 9 at the Mono Lake Committee Information Center & Bookstore for our final book talk of the 2026 season with Erin Ryan, author of Law for the Land: The Public Trust Doctrine, Mono Lake, and a Quiet Revolution in Environmental Rights.

Erin Ryan is a professor at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, a graduate of Harvard Law, and former ranger in the Mono District of the Inyo National Forest. Her book, Law for the Land, dives into the Public Trust Doctrine, how it applied to saving Mono Lake, and the precedent that the Mono Lake case established for environmental rights.

This event takes place at the Mono Lake Committee Information Center & Bookstore on Friday, October 9 at 6:00pm. Refreshments and snacks will be provided, and the bookstore will remain open with extended hours for this event. This event is free and open to the public; no RSVP is required.
