From Hollywood star of the silent film era who worked with the likes of Charlie Chaplin in his early days, to High Sierra mountain guide in the Mono Basin, Nellie Bly Baker O’Bryan’s life is too extraordinary to be forgotten. With her many feats, such as being the first female licensed hunting and fishing guide, owning the Happy Landing Resort in Lundy Canyon, and building the upside-down house in Lee Vining, Nellie was truly a force to be reckoned with, a common theme in Bonnie’s writings and research.
This event is free and open to the public, with snacks and refreshments provided! We will have copies of the book available; no RSVP is required.
