Early-bird Mono Lake Free Drawing winner, plus more chances to win

This post was written by Joslyn Rogers, 2018 Mono Lake Intern and 2018–2020 Project Specialist.

Last week we drew the winner of the early bird prize for the 2018 Free Drawing—congratulations to Marta Beryt of Fresno, who won an iPad mini 4!

I got to pull Marta’s winning ticket for the early bird Free Drawing prize! Photo by Elin Ljung.

If you haven’t yet sent in your tickets for the Free Drawing, there is still time—we will be drawing all the winners in mid-December. Those who enter could win one of 26 fun-filled prizes that include ski passes, canoe trips, vacations and retreats in the Mono Basin, San Francisco, Mammoth Lakes, Hope Valley, Benton Hot Springs, Yosemite, and much more! Take a look at the complete prize list to see everything we are offering this year.

If you are already a member of the Mono Lake Committee, you should have already received your tickets. You must return them to be entered to win one of these fabulous prizes. You will also receive ten tickets in the middle of your fall Mono Lake Newsletter, which is arriving in November. We suggest you include a $5 donation per ticket to support our work here in the Mono Basin, but there is no donation required to enter.

If you are not yet a member of the Mono Lake Committee, simply send an email with your name and address to Ellen King, Membership Coordinator, and she will send you ten tickets (or more, if you’d like). Be sure to send back the filled out tickets with your donation to enter the drawing. If you are coming to visit us in Lee Vining, you can always enter the Free Drawing in the Mono Lake Committee Information Center & Bookstore.

To be eligible to win in the Free Drawing, we must receive your tickets by Monday, December 10. All proceeds raised from the Free Drawing support the Mono Lake Committee’s protection, restoration, and education work in the Mono Basin.
