Mono Basin Bird Chautauqua: June 20-22, 2025

Since 2002 the Mono Basin Bird Chautauqua has brought birders together to enhance appreciation and understanding of the Mono Basin’s diverse and abundant bird life and to educate the public about this area’s value to birds and people.

The Chautauqua offers more than 80 field trips, workshops, and presentations with renowned bird guides, naturalists, and artists. Add music and delicious food, and you’ve got yourself a fantastic long weekend in nature with friends!

This year’s festival will take place June 20-22 in Lee Vining.

We are setting up the weekend’s schedule of field trips, workshops, and presentations and we will post the full program online on Friday, March 14. As always, Chautauqua registration will open on April 15 at 6:30am PDT.

Be sure to book your accommodations as soon as possible, as Lee Vining motels tend to sell out quickly for this busy weekend.

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions either by email or by calling (760) 647-6595. We are looking forward to seeing you in June!
