The view from Panum crater shows the snow speckled shore and the snow covered islands in the blue-gray Mono Lake water.

Mono Lake Moment: A snowy stroll at Panum Crater

Today’s Mono Lake Moment takes us on a stroll along the snowy eastern rim of Panum Crater on a silent winter day. Not a single bird makes a sound, not even a raven. The clouds reflect steely gray on the lake, and the Sierra Nevada looks as majestic as ever.
