Quilt show at the Mono Lake Committee gallery

Mono in Stitches by the “Out of the Box Quilters”

We have had the pleasure of hosting many beautiful shows in the Mono Lake Committee gallery over the years, featuring local artists and their photography, pastels, printmaking, and paintings of all kinds. On August 6 we’ll be welcoming a new kind of art to the gallery—quilts!

We’re excited to be displaying the show Mono in Stitches by the “Out of the Box Quilters,” a group of inspired local artists within the Calico Quilters Guild, which is based out of Bishop. The artists include Margaret De Palma, Nela Dunaway, Ruby Hoyng, Serena Johnson, Penny Kehus, Marylin Oltmans, and Sue Wallace.

We hope you’ll join us to meet the artists and admire their skillful handiwork at the artists’ reception. This show will be on display through February 2022, so if you can’t make the reception you’ll still have plenty of time to come in and take a look.

Artists’ reception

Please stop by the reception on Friday, August 6 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm to meet the artists. The Mono Lake Committee gallery is located at 51365 Highway 395 in Lee Vining, California.
