Registration open for 33rd annual Tioga Pass Run

This post was written by Erik Lyon, 2013 Project Specialist.

Early bird registration for the Tioga Pass Run is now open!

The 33rd annual Tioga Pass Run will be held Sunday, September 8, 2013. Early bird registration ends July 1, so remember to sign up soon! The early registration price is $30, a $5 discount from the regular registration price. All proceeds directly benefit the Mono Lake Committee.

The Tioga Pass Run winds its way 12.4 miles and 3,000 vertical feet up Tioga Pass from the Mono Lake Committee headquarters to the entrance to Yosemite Park. The first Tioga Pass Run was held in 1981, making it one of the longest-running (no pun intended) events on the Sierra’s east side.

Runners and walkers alike are welcome to join in on the fun. The walking division will begin at 7:00am, and the runners will hit the road at 8:00am. Register at Race 360. For more information, visit the Tioga Pass Run web page or call the Mono Lake Committee at (760) 647-6595.
