Winter Photography at Mono Lake field seminar has a few spots left

We still have a few spots available in our upcoming Winter Photography field seminar this January 17-19, 2026!

Winter in the Mono Basin offers a quiet solitude for those who seek it out, as well as stunning photographic opportunities. Snow flurries, poconip ice fog, and ice-covered tufa towers are all possible, combined with a snow-capped Sierra Nevada backdrop and bright but low sunlight.

Poconip ice fog shrouds Mono Lake, with just a sliver of sun illuminating the base of Black Point. Photo courtesy of Joe Decker.

Instructor Joe Decker is a longtime Mono Lake Committee supporter and professional photographer whose work has been widely exhibited across the United States. His extensive experience at Mono Lake in winter and time in the Arctic make him an outstanding instructor for this winter photography seminar.

Don’t miss out on Mono Lake this season and book your spot today!
